wpbc poll: CF for the Cubs in 2010

With the exciting hot stove league continuing, I thought I’d ask this question:

13 Responses to wpbc poll: CF for the Cubs in 2010

  1. Rob G. says:

    Marlon Byrd…the tallest midget.

I vote Fukudome and keep Bradley. Fire Lou and Hendry if you have to make that happen.

  2. Luis M says:

Tell Marlon Byrd and his agent to stop voting.

  3. Jim T says:

Lead off hitter? Centerfielder? Speed at the top? Cheapest available? To me this is a no brainer… Sign Scott Podsednick!

  4. It would be nice if anyone voting “other” would leave a comment identifying this mysterious player. I’m guessing it might be either Sam Fuld or Reed Johnson (or both, if platooned). You might want to add Sam and/or Reed to the poll.

  5. I voted “other” and entered “sharp object in my eye”.
    But I meant Marlon Byrd.

  6. wpbc says:

    LOL!

    Others receiving votes so far:

    Ron Jeremy
    Corey Patterson
    Granderson
    Reed Johnson–2
    SAMFULD!!!!11!!1ONE
    Santa Claus
    Sharp object in my eye
    sam fuld
    brett gardner

  7. wpbc says:

the sharp object in the eye may be the best option at this point harry.

gardner is an interesting player. tons of speed but i wonder how he would fair with regular pt.

  8. Aisle 424 says:

I added “bullet in my head” under other, though I could settle on “Sharp object in my eye.”

  9. wpbc says:

when other is in first place doubling up the second place choice:

    a. the poll sucks
    b. the choices suck
    c. both

  10. smallen13 says:

My vote for other is for Jerome Walton. Is he still alive? Nevermind, it really doesn’t matter.

  11. Aisle 424 says:

I thought of a new revenue stream for the Cubs. They can have “Sharp Objects You Can Poke in Your Eye” vendors. They will clean up.

  12. wpbc says:

424, you should email that idea to tom ricketts.
